What’s the matter?

Everyone seemed to care
When it was celebrity
But what about the sobriety
Of the people in their own world
The ones who share common doors
Walk on the same floors
Who are too exhausted to say they can’t take much more
Where is their voice?
Do you think they feel this by choice?
Not knowing their sick
When all you do is click
A like button

Self Worth

You’re so beautiful
You could have any man
I opened my mouth
And they all ran
A fountain of knowledge
A rock of truth
I shuttered at your touch
Within that booth
You spoke of something
I hadn’t heard before
So I went home and banged my head on the floor
Because I knew nothing
And didn’t deserve much more

Wine is a Mocker

Powder
Through a straw
Or on the ground
Rats,
That’s where
We’ll be found
Paper on the streets
Trash in your pockets
Vegan tendencies
Until it’s off topic

The Tempest

Waves crashing on my shore
The wet sand
As it was before
The moonlight
Shone so bright
It was just another night
But something wasn’t right
I screamed out
At the top of my lungs
It was all in good fun
Until I fell to my knees
Feeling everything
I just wanted to be free
